Youth who take action to solve a social problem (age 13-18)
A social problem is any condition or behavior that has a negative consequence for a large number of people.
Changemakers are people who can see the patterns around them, identify the problems in any situation, figure out ways to solve the problem, organize fluid teams, lead collective action and then continually adapts as situations change.
This scholarship will be given to youth who go above and beyond to make a meaningful contribution to our community.
Criteria for Selection: Demonstrates strong leadership, leads with a vision, designs an approach to solve the problem, drives community engagement, demonstrates G.R.I.T.
Process:
-At any point during the year, youth may submit ideas for change via the form below.
-Desis of Doylestown will team up with the each youth to help formalize an action plan and mentor
-Each youth will be responsible to drive and lead their own plans
-All youth actions that lead to actionable change or impact will be entered for consideration by February of each year for the Scholarship that year.
